Meet Our NEW Company Artists for Season 38!

Four New Faces and a Familiar One from Ballet Memphis School

CAYCE CAVETT

Meet our new dancers! To begin we have Cayce Cavett in his first year dancing professionally! He has come to Ballet Memphis from training at Houston Ballet Academy, Ballet West Academy, and The Washington School of Ballet. Cayce, originally from Tucson, Arizona, is a dancer AND a musician - he plays both the electric and acoustic guitar.

He loves to eat dolmas, which are stuffed grape leaves, so if you have a place in Memphis to recommend for him to get some while he is finding his way around Memphis, I bet he would appreciate that! Drop it in the comments.

He says, “I am beyond grateful and excited to be joining this beautiful company full of kind, inspiring and talented artists.”

We are happy to hear that and are so glad to have you with us, Cayce!

NICOLAS GONGORA

Meet Nicolas Gongora! Nico, as he is called by his friends, is from Houston, Texas and trained at Houston Ballet Academy. He is joining us for his first year as a professional company artist!

He is already a big fan of the Cooper Young Farmer’s Market and loves supporting local small businesses whenever he can.

A man of many interests and talents, he speaks Spanish, loves to rock climb, started playing piano at the age of 4, and says if he weren’t a dancer, he would be a medical technology developer.

We can’t wait to know more about Nico, and are thrilled he is starting his dance career at Ballet Memphis!

HARRY WARSHAW

Join us in welcoming Harry Warshaw to Ballet Memphis! From Keene, New Hampshire, Harry trained at MoCo Arts, The Rock School for Dance Education, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School, and The Washington School of Ballet.

This easygoing, passionate, and hungry (his words!) guy says he loves all kinds of foods and is always interested in trying new things, so if you have recommendations let him know some of your favorite places as he gets acquainted with Memphis.

He says so far he feels at home in his apartment with his two cats, which sounds like a great way to spend down time away from the busy studio and rehearsal schedule as he and the artists prepare for Season 38!

Harry, we’re grateful you came to Ballet Memphis to perform for our community!

NOAH LONG

Let’s all say hello to our final new introduction of Season 38, Noah Long!

Noah is from Toronto, Canada and has been dancing professionally for 19 years! His first job was as an apprentice with the National Ballet of Canada in 2005.

Fun fact: he says he would be some kind of pro athlete - like a volleyball player - if he had not pursued ballet. He feels very at home in his body, and his ideal vacation spot is “anywhere hot with a beach, cold tub, and unlimited steak.” We would love that for him right now!

You were hastily introduced to Noah a few weeks ago due to an injury from a hit and run accident, but he would like you to know he is in good faith, going through the process, and focusing on healing to get back on stage as soon as possible.

Noah, we are glad you are here and on the mend!

ROSAMOND MULLINAX

We also want to mention Rosamond Mullinax, a trainee in a pilot program created by Ballet Memphis School Co-Directors, Brandon and Virginia Pilgrim Ramey, to foster budding talent directly from our school and into a professional dance career.
